Just from my first post, we discovered that Elisha and I are both from upstate NY, Allison lived here for 22 years and over spring break, Mary Beth told me that she visited and literally drove through the tiny little town that I currently live in! I just find it so funny that we are all united in an online course in which students join from all over, yet we are so close together at the same time. Now if that isn’t a small world- I don’t know what it!!

I think that's the beauty of living in this era of high speed internet! Although I'm not very familiar with upstate NY, I am quite familiar with parts of the city, as my wife was living there while we were engaged (and I don't think I will recover from all of the traffic!).
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteI'm excited you're blogging! I'm "posting," you're "blogging!" All the new vocabulary is a little overwhelming. Your wedding pictures are just gorgeous. You are a beautiful bride! I am very, very jealous that you travel to Europe and speak Italian. I would love to go there, anywhere in Europe, but most importantly to Italy. Since I was a little girl, I have said I wanted to see the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel before I die. And you are very right, it is a small world. I will get there some day. What part of Italy is your family from. I used to have a penpal from Italy, from a town in the north, known for its fashions, but I forget the name of the city. I too, am glad to see a face to associate with the name! I'm glad we are working together.
Oh Thank you Mary Beth for the compliments:)
ReplyDeleteMy father and his family are from Abruzzi (where there was the horrible earthquakes last year that were all over the news) and my mother and her family are from naples. Was your penpal from Milan? Thats the fashion capital of Italy lol. I was fortunate enough to see the ceilings of the sistine chapel and it was breath taking...although i did have quite a neckache haha.
